About seven in ten online carts are left behind. Abandoned Carts emails the shopper a while after they stop, with what they left, the cart total and a Return to Your Cart button that puts the cart back exactly as it was, options and all. It runs by itself from a scheduler (a cron job every 15 minutes), waits while the shopper is still browsing, and stops the moment they order, empty the cart or unsubscribe. Before every send it checks again: too old, unsubscribed, already ordered by any payment path (PayPal’s IPN included), your guest and newsletter settings, and a minimum cart value.
It reaches customers with an account and One Page Checkout guests who saved their contact details at checkout. A guest’s cart never reaches the database the way a customer’s does, so the older Recover Cart Sales tool can’t see them, and it only ever sent email by hand. This plugin records the guest the moment their email reaches the server.
Every reminder carries a one-click unsubscribe (the link, plus the header Gmail and Yahoo use for their own Unsubscribe button) and your store’s postal address. Guests get HTML email. Customers > Abandoned Carts shows every recorded cart with its items and history, the scheduler’s health and what the reminders recovered in the last 30 days. Cart records, guest emails included, are deleted after the days you set. No core or template file is changed, and the reminder shows in the free Preview Email plugin.
Want more? Abandoned Carts Pro adds up to three reminders per cart, a single-use coupon in the one you choose, and a report of what each reminder brought back. This plugin stays complete and free on its own.

Need it tailored to your store? We customize our own plugins, and other developers' plugins and mods too, wherever their license allows it (most Zen Cart plugins are GPL, which does). An extra option, a different placement, a hook into something else you run, an update for a newer Zen Cart or PHP, or a version for your template. Tell us what you have in mind through
